Thank you to everyone who joined us for the inaugural exhibition Hung at the Hangar on the Cranbrook Academy of Art Campus. It was great to see you all there.
The Cranbrook Photography Department is pleased to announce a call for entries for the second exhibition at the Hangar space entitled: POST CYNICISM. How does your art reflect the changing times? Do you have work that deals with idealism, sincerity, optimism and/or expresses a new direction?
This is an open call to students, recent graduates, non-graduates, professors, friends, relatives, etc. All media is welcome, including performances. The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 14, 2008. Artists whose work has been selected will be notified by November 21st. Drop off of work will be at the Hangar on Sunday, November 30th from 1-4PM.
Please send submissions to: thehangarspace@gmail.com. We will accept six images per submission (jpeg files-no bigger than 2MB). In the case of video submissions, upload files under 10MB to www.drop.io/thehangarspace. If you need a password to upload a file, it is: thehangarspace. In your e-mail, please include a short description of your work, your contact information, the titles, size of your work (unframed and framed if the size is different), your website and CV, if available.
The opening of POST CYNICISM is scheduled for Friday, December 5th at 7 PM. Hope to see you there!
